The price of an air-to-water heat pump depends on the pump itself and the size of the property. As an investment, it will pay for itself in approx. 4-7 per year, saving you thousands of euros per year in heating costs.

The duration of the installation depends on whether the new system has to be replaced by dismantling the old one or whether this has already been done in advance. The outdoor unit is installed first, followed by the indoor unit inside the property. It will take 1-3 days in total.

With an air-to-water heat pump, you can save up to 60% on your annual heating costs. The energy used is free and does not produce additional carbon emissions.

The air-to-water heat pump is the main heating system in the building down to -25 / -28 degrees Celsius (operating temperatures vary between models). When the temperature drops below that, another heating system, such as electricity, oil or wood (air-to-water heat pumps have an integrated electrical resistance for extreme conditions), is temporarily needed alongside.

An air-to-water heat pump is connected to a property’s water circuit, so it acts as a whole-house heating system, rather than blowing air to one specific place in the property like an air-to-water heat pump. An air-to-water heat pump can also be used to heat domestic hot water.
